Wings/Preds game 1

|

It's nice to see the Wings play a solid game to get the 2008 edition of the Stanley Cup Playoffs underway. Nothing spectacular, just a hard effort that got the job done and helps build confidence against a Nashville team that will probably extend this series to 6 games.

After a string of playoff disappointments, it's hard to get too wound up about the playoffs this year - but that would change should this kind of effort and result become common against the Predators.

The Wings best players looked ready to play tonight -- let's hope a long playoff run is in their future this spring.
