Things were looking good this evening when the Red Wings led 3-2 with under 5:00 to play. Then lightning struck for Nashville with two goals in 9 seconds and instead of the Wings being able to skate off with a 3-0 series lead, Nashville is very much alive and well.
What had been another solid effort that looked to pay off with a 'W' turned around faster than it could happen in any other sport. Tonight is a great example of why you never leave a hockey game early - especially in the playoffs. I give the crowd in Nashville a lot of credit, they stuck around and were very charged up in the second period and after their first goal late in the third.
So now we know there will be at least 5 games in this series - and I'd guess more.
The playoffs are on!
