Happy Easter

|

Lots going on this Easter, especially in the sports world. March Madness is in full swing, Tiger Woods is trying to win another tournament, the NHL and NBA seasons are getting ready for playoff time, and baseball is just about set to start playing games that count. How can there possibly be time for egg hunts? :)

Having Easter on March 23rd is pretty unusual -- it's the second earliest possible date for Easter Sunday. Some interesting factoids about when Easter can fall (it's based on the first full moon after the spring equinox):

-- The earliest date possible for Easter is March 22nd. That won't happen again until the year 2285 and the most recent Easter on 3/22 was in the year 1818.

-- The next time Easter will fall on March 23rd will be in the year 2160, so we're all going to miss it. The last time the holiday was on the 23rd before this year was in 1913.

-- The latest possible date for Easter Sunday is April 25 -- and that will next happen in 2038.

At any rate... don't forget the first rule of Easter: Always start with the ears on your chocolate bunny!
