Snowydays

|

snowyActually, I'm getting tired of snow. This photo was taken in our backyard in January just after one of the bigger snowfalls we've had here in southeastern Michigan this winter.

The last few days, we've been getting a small amount of new snow it seems like every day following a strange storm that started by dumping 2" of slush followed by 6" of snow. That was a mess to clean up and each morning there has been a repeat performance in trying to keep the driveway and sidewalks cleaned off. The only good thing is how nice it makes everything look when its covered with snow.

The winter of 2007-08 has been a strange one - we went through a long period of it being warmer than normal, but at the same time when it's been cold, it's been VERY cold. And I think we've had more snow than usual, but it all seems to melt away pretty quickly. Our school district has had only 2 snow days so far this winter, but in a way this year reminds me a little bit of the winters we had when I was growing up in the 1970s.
