Thomas recall - update number 1

|

I was finally able to download the return form yesterday evening and we located 11 items that were on the recall list. The next task was to explain to our youngest son that these trains were going to be sent back to the 'Sodor Engine Works' to be repainted since the paint that was on them might make us sick. He was cool with that, and we took a picture of his 'buddies' before we boxed them up. He went with me to the post office as we bid them a final adieu this morning.

Now we wait for 6 to 8 weeks (according to the form) for replacements and our free gift. I'm guessing the gift might be some kind of limited edition car or a certificate for at least $20 for more Thomas trains.

I gave them my e-mail address as requested on the form - it'll be interesting to see if they make any contact with me once they receive and process our box of returned trains. Even if it's only a mass-mailing of sorts, providing updates would be a classy thing to do.

We shall see what happens next.
