Atomic clock - fixed!

|

Gotta give full credit to La Crosse Technology. Today the UPS driver delivered our new atomic clock and temp/humidity monitor, exactly as promised. And instead of sending the malfunctioning clock back, the letter states we should DESTROY (the all caps is in their letter) it as it will never function correctly when daylight saving time changes. Or at least if this new way of doing DST sticks around and doesn't revert back after this so-called experiment to see if it saves energy.

So, the old clock goes down in the basement (where it probably wouldn't receive the signal anyhow) and the basement clock gets demoted to the garage. Sure, it's another clock that will have to be adjusted by hand... but thanks to La Crosse stepping up, we now have a fully functional clock again. At least I think it is... we'll find out in November I guess.

In the meanwhile, La Crosse Technology has earned themselves a loyal customer--- and free praise too.

I'd love to know if Costco had something to do with this response ... and successful outcome.
