GM commercial offensive?

|

So... word tonight comes that a suicide prevention group is claiming that this GM Super Bowl ad is offensive.

Did they even watch it? A robot, which I believe is much different than an actual human, has a 'dream' about dropping a bolt, getting fired from its GM assembly line job, struggling to find happiness in other jobs, and then ultimately throwing itself off a bridge before waking up in a darkened plant.

How have we become this politically correct that groups are unable to discern the difference between robots having "dreams" and reality?!?

I hope GM doesn't cave in to this absurd claim. Of course all these groups really do is generate even more publicity than the ad would if it was left alone allowed to fade in oblivion in three months...
