Not ready for football

|

Hard to believe that the 'pretend' football season has started already. With a decent baseball team in town, it's really hard to be interested in preseason pro football. The NFL should change the rules for these games - starting with a rule that the clock doesn't stop except for TV timeouts and scoring plays. Sure a football game is still quicker than most baseball games, but preseason games just seem to drag on forever and ever. Not that I was watching - instead opting to check the Lions out tonight in between innings of the Tigers - White Sox game (which is not going well). It was nice to see the Lions win, but of course it means nothing.

I am looking forward to college football starting the first week of September... and then the NFL games that count too. It might be a fun autumn around here for sports fans!
