I Love Toy Trains

|

Not only is this what our son Daniel shows us pretty much every day, it's also the name of a train store in New Buffalo, MI - right across the Indiana border and just off I-94. Created in an old house, you start shopping right on the front porch and wander through rooms packed full of Lionel and Thomas the Tank Engine merchandise. While the prices aren't anything all that special, the selection is interesting because you might be able to find items that have been discontinued and not available in other retail outlets - a cool thing for collectors.

While not a 'major' sightseeing stop by any means, if you have youngsters that are "in" to trains, its well worth the small detour to check this place out. Daniel has stated several times that he's ready for a "long drive to go to that train store" since our visit in June.
